I am a certified practicing speech pathologist who graduated with a Masters of Speech Pathology from the Griffith University in 2020. I have experience working with clients with complex communication needs (including AAC users), trauma backgrounds, mental health challenges and complex behavioural needs. I love working closely with clients and their families to develop relationships based on trust and felt safety and individualising therapy to suit each client's specific interests and needs.
Prior to studying to be a speech pathologist, I was a special education teacher, working in special schools across Queensland and the Northern Territory. It was here that I was first exposed to the world of speech pathology and, seeing its value with my students, I was driven to pursue it as my career. I have also worked as a support worker part time for many years, for clients of all ages, with a range of different needs.
